JUST A WAY(JPN), decisive winner of G1/Tenno Sho Autumn

Just a Way

G1/Tenno Sho Autumn, one of the most prestigious race over 2,000m on turf in Japan, on October 27th at Tokyo was won by Just A Way, four-year-old colt by Heart's Cry.
He was the 14.5 to 1 fifth choice in the 17 runners' field, however, it was decisive victory by Just A Way, as the second finisher Gentildonna, four-year-old filly by Deep Impact and the reigning Horse of the Year, was four lengths behind him and Eishin Flash, six-year-old horse by Kings Best who tried to complete the back-to-back victory of G1/Tenno Sho Autumn, was further two lengths behind, finishing third.
Just A Way is bred by Shiraoi Farm and sold to Akatsuki Yamatoya, script writer of many popular comics, at 2010 JRHA Select Yearling Sale for 12,00,000yen. G1/Tenno Sho Autumn is the second Graded Stakes and the first Graded One Stakes for Just A Way, who has won three races from sixteen starts and earned nearly 300 million yen, which is 25 times of his purchased price. And this is the first Graded One Stakes for his sire, Heart's Cry by Sunday Silence, winner of two Graded One Stakes, including G1/Dubai Sheema Classic, who stands at Shadai Stallion Station.
G1/Tenno Sho Autumn is one of the most important prep race for G1/Japan Cup, however, it is likely that Just A Way skips Japan Cup, as the connection thinks mile and half is too long for Just A Way and the trip to Hong Kong is now considered.
